About

Paz Méndez is an Eco-Friendly Printmaker specializing in Hand-Carved Block Prints.

An artist since childhood, Paz got into printmaking in 2017 working as a commercial printer at various print shops in Oregon. He learned how to Screen Print and operate high speed Lithographic Printing Presses (offset). He developed his passion for printmaking by staying late after work, and going in on the weekends, to print his own artwork.

His search for making his art look more handmade and less digitally polished led him to Linocut. Paz taught himself to carve eco-friendly Linoluem Blocks and he used his printmaking experience to start printing limited edition runs. Now Linocut is his favorite medium and he makes a living as a full time working artist.

Paz still has a love for Screen Printing and uses this method to make serigraphs of his linocut designs in other sizes/colors. He enjoys selling his art at local markets in Eugene, OR and fine art shows in the PNW.
